Afa Insurance wins award for IT accessibility
During what was previously known as the “politicians’ week” in Visby on the island of Gotland, Afa Insurance was awarded the prestigious “Digital Inclusion Award”. The company’s external website www.afaforsakring.se was nominated and won the Digital Inclusion Award 2025 as “the organisation that has done the largest and most long-term work to promote digital accessibility, both in the short and long term.”
The motivation from the jury was:
“In a fierce competition, the winner has distinguished themselves as an inspiring player in promoting digital inclusion, both in the short and long term. By integrating accessibility as a strategic business issue, they have shown that inclusion and innovation go hand in hand.”
“The winner is a role model within CommToACT and proof of how digital accessibility, step by step, can become a natural part of the company’s DNA. With perseverance, commitment and clear leadership, they have shown the way towards a more accessible digital society for all.”
- “We are very proud and happy about the nomination”, says Johan Ljungqvist, Director of Communications at Afa Insurance.
- “In order to reach everyone, regardless of functional ability, we are continuously working to improve our digital accessibility and strive for increased inclusion. Afa Insurance’s vision is that everyone should have a safe everyday life and for us, digital accessibility is an important part of this”. ●
